What can I expect during the Advanced Open Water course ?

PADI‘s next step in recreational diver training builds your confidence underwater through practical experience and certifies you to dive in more challenging environments down to a depth of 30m.

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to build on the skills learned during the Open Water certification and so many divers choose to complete the Advanced Open Water course immediately after achieving their Open Water certification.
The five dives required to become a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver include two compulsory dives: an Underwater Navigation dive and a Deep Dive (up to 30 meters/100 feet) as well as three other dives of your choosing. For your three additional dives, you can choose from: Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night Diving, Enriched Air, Wreck Diving, Digital Underwater Imaging, Fish Identification, Dive Against Debris, Underwater Naturalist and Search and Recovery. During these five dives, your PADI Instructor will teach you skills, tips and tricks that you can use on every dive you do in the future. You’ll develop existing skills and combine them with completely new ones, such as how to assess a shipwreck for diving or how to communicate underwater at night.

This course is only for certified divers. Don’t have your PADI dive certification yet? Take a look at our PADI Open Water Diver Course !
